NOTICE OF TAX FORECLOSURE SALE Under and by virtue of an order of the District Court of Onslow County, North Carolina, made and entered in the action entitled COUNTY OF ONSLOW vs. GROUP EIGHT, LTD., and all possible assigns and successors of GROUP EIGHT, LTD., or any other person or entity claiming thereunder, et al, 16-CVD-3139, the undersigned Commissioner will on the 25th day of September, 2018, offer for sale and sell for cash, to the last and highest bidder at public auction at the courthouse door in Onslow County, North Carolina, Jacksonville, North Carolina at 12:00 o'clock, noon, the following described real property, lying and being in Swansboro Township, State and County aforesaid, and more particularly described as follows: TRACT ONE: All that certain tract or parcel of land situated in Swansboro Township, Onslow County, North Carolina, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 1A, Foxtrace Point 2 Subdivision as recorded in Map Book 36, Page 136 of the Onslow County Registry, said point also being in the southern right of way of Charlton Road; thence from said beginning point and leaving said right of way S. 39 05' 51" W. 53.00 feet; thence N. 51 24' 07" W. 195.97 feet to a point in the southern right of way of Crown Point Road; thence along said road N. 39 05' 58" E. 53.00 feet; thence leaving said right of way S. 51 24' 07" E. 195.97 feet to the point and place of beginning, containing 0.23 acre, and being designated for purposes of release, Lot 64, Queens Creek Subdivision. This conveyance is made subject to a 120 day right of redemption by the United States of America pursuant to 26 U.S.C. Section 7425 and 28 U.S.C. Section 2410. Subject to restrictive covenants and easements of record. Parcel Identification Number: 043192 Any bidder must be a public utility regulated by the North Carolina Utilities Commission and apply for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 62-110, or be otherwise authorized by the North Carolina Utilities Commission to acquire ownership or control of public utility system plant or system assets, as required by law. The ultimately successful bidder may also be subject to a requirement to reimburse significant costs for investments made in such utility plant or system assets by the current Emergency Operator appointed by the North Carolina Utilities Commission, as may be ordered by the North Carolina Utilities Commission, in Docket W-864, Sub 11. The undersigned Commissioner makes no warranties in connection with this property and specifically disclaims any warranties as to title and habitability. This property is being sold as is, without opinion as to title or any other matter. This sale will be made subject to all outstanding city and county taxes and all local improvement assessments against the above described property not included in the judgment in the above-entitled cause. A cash deposit of 20 percent of the successful bid will be required. In addition, the successful bidder will be required, at the time the Deed is recorded to pay for recording fees and revenue stamps assessed by the Onslow County Register of Deeds.
